The Indianapolis Colts have released defensive tackle Arthur Jones.

Jones signed a five-year, $33-million contract with the Colts as an unrestricted free agent in 2014. Over the ensuing two seasons, injuries limited him to 17 games played.

The six-year veteran did not make a sack in any of the eight games he played in 2016.

Jones was due to carry a salary cap number of $7.35 million in each of the next two seasons.
