Bucs grab Chris Godwin to add another offensive weapon

Gary A. Vasquez-USA TODAY Sports

The Tampa Bay Buccaneers have selected wide receiver Chris Godwin out of Penn State in the third round of the 2017 NFL Draft, 84th overall.

Scooping up Godwin late on Day 2 is the latest in a long line of impressive moves to surround promising young quarterback Jameis Winston with talent.

Alongside Mike Evans and DeSean Jackson at receiver, and first-round tight end O.J. Howard, Godwin's big-play ability could be a major factor for a Tampa Bay offense that suddenly has the makings of a dominant scoring unit.
