A.J. Green has a new running mate, and can he ever run.

The Cincinnati Bengals selected wide receiver John Ross out of Washington with the ninth overall pick of the 2017 NFL Draft.

After a highly productive college career, Ross put his draft stock through the roof by setting an NFL Scouting Combine record with a blazing 40-yard dash time of 4.22 seconds.

Adding a burner opposite their perennial Pro Bowl receiver represents a major upgrade for the Bengals' offense.

Ross was the third wideout off the board after an early run at the position, joining Corey Davis and Mike Williams.
