Report: Panthers owner won't attend NFL's annual meeting

Jeremy Brevard-US PRESSWIRE / Reuters

Carolina Panthers owner Jerry Richardson won't attend the NFL's annual meeting this year, due to his discomfort with traveling to the West Coast, according to NFL Network's Ian Rapoport.

Richardson, 80, seldom travels to games on the West Coast.

The annual meeting takes place from March 26-29 in Phoenix this year.

Owners are expected to discuss numerous rule changes, including a prospective adjustment that would see players ejected for dangerous hits.
