Report: Bengals to sign Kevin Minter on 1-year deal

Mark J. Rebilas / USA TODAY Sports

The Cincinnati Bengals are signing free-agent linebacker Kevin Minter, a source told ESPN's Josina Anderson.

The contract will be a one-year deal, according to NFL Network's Ian Rapoport.

Minter, a 2013 second-round pick, spent the first four years of his career with the Arizona Cardinals, starting every game for the team over the past two seasons. The 26-year-old had 81 tackles, 3.5 sacks, and two pass deflections in 2016.

With former Bengals middle linebacker Karlos Dansby signing with the Cardinals, it appears that Minter and Dansby will swap jobs next season.
