Steelers' Green anticipates bounce-back 2017 campaign

The Pittsburgh Steelers' prized 2016 offseason signing hopes to make a bigger impact in 2017.

Tight end Ladarius Green could only play in six games last season due to multiple injuries, including a concussion suffered in Week 15 that plagued him long after the season ended.

Reports have surfaced suggesting Green has yet to clear concussion protocol. Regardless, the 26-year-old is looking forward to a brighter 2017.

"I expect to come back," Green said, according to Jeremy Fowler of ESPN. He added, "I definitely am (excited). ... I think everybody is."

Green was heralded as a promising, athletic prospect at his position. He spent the first four years of his career behind Antonio Gates in San Diego and was expected to have a breakout campaign his first year as a starter in Pittsburgh.

In six games, Green had 18 receptions for 304 yards and one touchdown.
