Nick Foles missed getting booed by Eagles fans
In his two seasons away from the Philadelphia Eagles, quarterback Nick Foles came to miss many things about the city of brotherly love - even the boos.
Foles rejoined the Eagles earlier this week on a deal that will make him Carson Wentz's backup for the next two years. While he likely won't get the chance to rile fans as he did in 2013 and 2014, Foles is looking forward to the unique reactions from the crowd at Lincoln Financial Field.
"Crazy enough, you miss the boos from time to time," Foles said in his media session Thursday, according to 247Sports' Jeff Kerr. "I laugh just thinking about playing and getting booed and going back and throwing a touchdown and hearing the eruption. It’s the only place that you get something like that."
Foles heard his fair share of boos, starting 24 games for the Eagles between 2012 and 2014. He didn't have nearly as much success starting 11 games for the St. Louis Rams in 2015, or filling in as Alex Smith's backup for the Kansas City Chiefs last season. The 28-year-old is pleased his NFL journey has brought him back to Philly.
"I have nothing but great things to say about the city, the fans," Foles said. "I miss running out at the Linc and being a part of that on game day."
