Report: 'Very good chance' Lynch ends retirement amid Raiders' interest

Following a report that the Oakland Raiders are "strongly considering" acquiring retired Seattle Seahawks running back Marshawn Lynch, a source told Mike Florio of ProFootballTalk there's a "very good chance" he'll return to the NFL.

If Lynch comes back, the Seahawks would still own his rights, but would likely have to cut or trade him due to the $9-million cap hit he'd carry.

The Oakland native, who turns 31 next month, would instantly become one of the league's most popular players if he were to join the Raiders.

The five-time Pro Bowler retired following an injury-plagued 2015 season, after rushing for 9,112 yards and 74 touchdowns through nine seasons.
