Patriots' Dion Lewis: Spotted doing rehab work

Lewis (hamstring) has been doing rehab work at Gillette Stadium, ESPN.com reports.

Analysis:

Lewis injured his hamstring on the final play of regulation in the Super Bowl and subsequently missed the brief but memorable overtime period. His decision to stick around New England for rehab work suggests the ailment is fairly serious, but he's apparently making progress with more than a month remaining before the start of OTAs. Lewis will have heated competition for snaps and targets in training camp, with Rex Burkhead joining the New England backfield on a one-year, $3 million contract. Super Bowl hero James White will also be firmly in the mix for a key role, and the Patriots may add more competition in the form of a power back -- possibly even re-signing LeGarrette Blount.
