Titans' Wesley Woodyard: Signs two-year extension with Titans

Woodyard signed a two-year extension with the Titans on Wednesday, ESPN's Field Yates reports.

Analysis:

The deal will keep Woodyard in Tennessee through the 2019 season and allows him to earn upwards of $12.75 million across that time span. While the Kentucky product's 57 tackles from this past season pale in comparison to his numbers from 2014 and 2015, Woodyard still finished as the Titans' fourth-leading tackler and should continue to operate as one of the team's top defensive contributors for the foreseeable future.
