Offensive tackle Gosder Cherilus, a former first-round pick of the Detroit Lions, is planning to retire after nine seasons in the league, a source told ESPN's Jeremy Fowler.
Cherilus spent the last two years with the Tampa Bay Buccaneers, but started only three games in 2016. He is currently not under contract with a team.
The 32-year-old previously spent two years with the Indianapolis Colts after signing a big-money free-agent deal, but failed to live up to his contract.
