Report: Jones expected to visit Cardinals

Bill Streicher / USA TODAY Sports

Free-agent linebacker Jarvis Jones will be visiting with the Arizona Cardinals on Monday, ESPN's Adam Schefter reports.

Though the Pittsburgh Steelers allowed the four-year pro to test the free-agent market, the team remains interested in the 27-year-old, Schefter adds. The Steelers are also scheduled to host free-agent linebacker Dont'a Hightower on a visit, however.

Jones, a former 17th-overall draft choice, has yet to blossom into a star. He played in 14 games in 2016, starting nine, and made 42 total tackles, one sack, an interception, and forced two fumbles. He would be provided with an expanded role if he remains in Pittsburgh.

Should he sign in Arizona, he could help replace the production lost by the departure of Calais Campbell.
