Vince Young could soon be donning the Green and White.

The former NFL quarterback is heading north to join the Saskatchewan Roughriders, according to Gary Lawless of TSN. Lawless notes that Young's agent, Leigh Steinberg, is on his way to Sakatchewan to finalize the contract, and Young will follow later this week.

Young made it known earlier this month he was hoping for a comeback in football and the Roughriders had him on their negotiating list.

It remains to be seen what the 33-year-old has left in the tank, having not appeared on a roster since 2011 when he was with the Philadelphia Eagles. A former third overall pick, Young caught fire as a rookie with the Tennessee Titans, but inconsistent play ended his tenure with the team after only five years.

The Roughriders are looking for someone to challenge Kevin Glenn for the starting role after dealing away Darian Durant earlier in the offseason.
