Jones denies Romo trade rumors: 'Haven't had a discussion with anyone'

Dallas Cowboys owner Jerry Jones shot down a juicy rumor that his team could negotiate a three-way trade with the Washington Redskins and San Francisco 49ers involving Tony Romo.
"Nothing factual in any way. Haven't had a discussion with anyone," Jones said Saturday, according to Jon Machota of the Dallas News.
The rumor was always far-fetched, as it seems unlikely the Cowboys would choose to send Romo to a divisional rival.
Jones said he's had a single "real good, extended visit" with Romo since the Cowboys' season ended. Romo is believed to desire a trade or release so he can start for another team.
Jones added that he still hasn't closed the door on Romo returning to the Cowboys in 2017 as a backup.
