Colts GM: No timetable for Luck's return

Erik Williams / USA TODAY Sports

When it comes to the recovery of star quarterback Andrew Luck, the Indianapolis Colts' new general manager, Chris Ballard, said the team will always defer to the doctors' orders.

Ballard said Wednesday at the NFL Scouting Combine that there's currently no timetable for Luck's return after he underwent surgery on his throwing shoulder, but added that the veteran pivot has been rehabbing at the Colts' facility every day.

"We're going to do the best thing for Andrew, we're going to follow the doctors' orders, and when he's ready to go he's ready to go," said Ballard.

It remains unclear if Luck will be ready go by the time OTAs roll around in late May, though it wouldn't be a surprise if the Colts give him until training camp to get fully healthy.
