Steelers' Brown: After new contract, 'only thing left to do is get a ring'

Geoff Burke / USA TODAY Sports

Now that Antonio Brown will be paid handsomely for the foreseeable future, the Pittsburgh Steelers wide receiver has a singular focus.

"I'm grateful to be part of a great organization and know I have stability to be here for the next five years. Only thing left to do is get a ring," Brown said to Steelers.com after signing a lucrative four-year extension Monday.

Brown produced like the NFL's top receiver over the past three seasons, yet he was earning less than many of his colleagues. His new deal ensures he'll be the highest paid wide receiver based on an average annual value of $17 million.

Brown has found plenty of individual success on the field and he now has the riches to match, but the ultimate team title has eluded him and the Steelers. Pittsburgh lost Super Bowl XLV in Brown's rookie season and haven't been back to the title game. They lost the AFC Championship game to the New England Patriots in 2016.
