The Washington Redskins have re-signed pass-rusher Junior Galette to a one-year deal worth $775,000 in base salary with a $25,000 workout bonus, ESPN's Adam Caplan reports, after he missed back-to-back seasons due to torn Achilles' suffered in each of the last two training camps.

It's Galette's third such contract with Washington in as many years. The 28-year-old linebacker announced in late January he expected to rejoin the Redskins, and now it appears the move has been completed.

It's a low-risk, high-reward move for the Redskins. The contract means he's no lock to make the roster, and Washington can use the offseason program to assess whether he has anything left in the tank after two major injuries.

Galette posted 12 sacks in 2013 and 10 sacks in 2014 while with the New Orleans Saints, but was cut in July 2015 after a video emerged of him striking a woman with a belt on a Miami beach.
