Dolphins to re-retire 6 former players

Kirby Lee-USA TODAY Sports

The Miami Dolphins will honor six former legends in a rather unique way.

The team announced Wednesday that it will re-sign Dolphins greats Dan Marino, Bob Griese, Larry Little, Sam Madison, Nat Moore, and Kim Bokamper to its active roster in order for them to all officially retire as Dolphins.

All six players will actually sign contracts, a ceremony that will be broadcast on all the team's social streams Wednesday afternoon.

The players were all previously retired, and three of them (Marino, Griese, Little) have been elected to the Pro Football Hall of Fame.
