Munnerlyn hopes to stick with Vikings

Cornerback Captain Munnerlyn values his impending free agency, as he has one particular request.

After eight seasons in the NFL split between the Carolina Panthers and Minnesota Vikings, what the veteran wants most is to win. He hopes he can do that in Minneapolis.

"Hopefully they value my position, value my talent, and bring me back," Munnerlyn said to Andrew Krammer of the Minneapolis Star-Tribune.

"I'm an older guy, I want to win. I definitely want to win. In Minnesota, I definitely feel like we have a chance to win."

Munnerlyn has played in just two playoff games in his career. Both were losses.

The Vikings raced out to a hot 5-0 start in 2016 before petering out and finishing outside of the playoffs. With the possible return of quarterback Teddy Bridgewater, the hosts of Super Bowl LII remain hopeful they'll be playing in that game.

The Vikings expect to bring free-agent corner K'Waun Williams in for a visit on Tuesday, Krammer added, citing a source.
