New England Patriots wide receiver Michael Floyd pleaded guilty to extreme DUI following a December incident and was sentenced to 120 days in jail, according to Jonathan Roy of FOX 10.

Floyd will spend 24 days in Maricopa County Jail, and serve the latter 96 days in home detention. He'll also need to complete 30 hours of community service and pay a $5,115.99 fine.

He began his sentence Thursday.

"We have been monitoring developments but have no further comment at this time," an NFL spokesperson said, via Ben Volin of the Boston Globe.

Floyd's blood alcohol level was at .217 when he was arrested, and a video obtained by TMZ reveals he was asleep at the wheel.

After his arrest, Floyd was released by the Arizona Cardinals. The Patriots signed him the following day, and the 27-year-old was part of the team's Super Bowl-winning roster, although he was inactive during the AFC Championship Game and Super Bowl.

Floyd is slated to become an unrestricted free agent this spring.
