Report: Jaguars considered 'primary' trade destination for Dolphins' Albert

The Miami Dolphins are exploring suitors for their starting left tackle Branden Albert, and the Jacksonville Jaguars have surfaced as a "primary destination," a source informed Mike Garafolo of NFL Network.

Reports emerged Thursday that the Dolphins were seeking to trade Albert and move 2016 draft pick Laremy Tunsil to left tackle. Trades cannot be consummated until March 9, but Garafolo reports Miami and Jacksonville are in talks.

The Jaguars are in need of a left tackle after they reportedly declined to pick up an option on Kelvin Beachum's contract. In his first year in Jacksonville, Beachum allowed five quarterback sacks and committed 10 penalties.

Albert allowed three sacks and took just three penalties in 2016, but appears to have ceded his position to the rookie he mentored.
