NFL prospect Psalm Wooching quits football to return to rugby

Former Washington linebacker Psalm Wooching announced he'll be giving up football permanently in order to return to rugby.

Wooching notched a team-high six sacks in 2016 and was considered to be a late-round prospect for the upcoming NFL Draft.

The former collegiate standout starred for the U.S. rugby junior national team in high school.

"My first love and sport that I've excelled in was Rugby and it is time to follow my heart. My goal is to be able to represent my country while playing rugby then on to playing in the next Olympics," Wooching tweeted.
