Peterson tweets cryptic comment about Giants' roster moves

Jeff Curry / USA TODAY Sports

The season of speculation has begun and Adrian Peterson is all in.

With many assuming that Peterson will be let go from his current contract by the Minnesota Vikings as he is set to have an $18-million cap hit, the veteran running back threw out an interesting comment Wednesday night.

The New York Giants cleared $10 million in cap space Monday by releasing veterans Victor Cruz and Rashad Jennings. While some expect the Giants to use that space to re-sign defensive end Jason Pierre-Paul, Peterson might be looking at the roster moves as a way for New York to bring him in.

Peterson teased a potential move to the Giants in mid-January and included the Houston Texans and Tampa Bay Buccaneers as other possible destinations.

The tweet may be an off-the-cuff comment, or it could very well his way of telling the Giants that he's interested if they are.
