The Cleveland Browns will soon set out to avoid using the franchise tag on their breakout receiver.

Hoping to strike a long-term deal before free agency gets underway, Browns officials are set to meet with Terrelle Pryor's agent this week, Jason La Canfora of CBS Sports reports.

All indications are that there's significant mutual interest in such an arrangement, so it may only be a matter of time before Pryor's future in Cleveland is secure.

Where the two sides could find difficulty, however, is determining his market value.

Pryor, who broke into the league as a quarterback, is scheduled for free agency on the heels of his first full season at wide receiver. The impressive level of production so soon after making the position change suggests that he may only be scratching the surface of his potential, but the projection still required could conceivably hurt his value.

The 27-year-old started all but one of his 16 regular-season appearances, hauling in 77 receptions for 1,007 yards and four touchdowns.
