Von Miller endorses Siemian as Broncos QB: 'I like Trev'

The Denver Broncos are in for another offseason of speculation surrounding who will be their starting quarterback and Von Miller has already cast his vote.

Trevor Siemian and Paxton Lynch are expected to compete for the job along with any potential new faces GM John Elway might acquire. With a season of experience now under his belt, Miller is comfortable with Siemian back under center in 2017.

"I feel like Elway has always put us in a great championship position, whatever quarterback that we've had," Miller recently told Mike Klis of 9News. "Me, personally, I like Trev.

"He's done a great job for us. Of course, you've got to come back and do it in training camp but I like that healthy competition between him and Paxton."

Siemian completed 289-of-486 attempts for 3,401 passing yards with 18 touchdowns and 10 interceptions through 14 starts in 2016 and reportedly earned an invitation to the Pro Bowl.

While Siemian won the job from 2016 first-rounder Lynch last summer, Miller is aware the 23-year-old could come to camp ready to take over.

"And who knows, Paxton could come alive and become a star," said Miller. "It happens every single year. I like our two guys that we have right now. If we were able to get somebody else, then that will be a decision of the guys in the front office. But I'm happy with where we're at right now."
