Something that likely enticed Chris Ballard to leave his executive position with the Kansas City Chiefs to become the Indianapolis Colts' new general manager was the presence of star quarterback Andrew Luck.

Perhaps more than most, Ballard understands Luck's special talents after watching the young pivot lead a 28-point comeback against his Chiefs in the 2013 playoffs - a loss he apparently still can't get out of his head.

"I still get flashbacks," Ballard said with a laugh on 1070 The Fan, according to the Indy Star's Jim Ayello. "Unfortunately I had to sit through that 45-44 game and watch (Luck) play brilliantly. He was unbelievable that day."

Luck threw for 443 yards and four touchdowns against Kansas City, bringing Indy back from a 38-10 deficit in the third quarter to win an all-time playoff classic.

Ballard will be tasked with building a team around Luck that can help the quarterback reach the playoffs after missing out the past two years.
