Raiders' Smith vows to be unstoppable upon return

Oakland Raiders linebacker Aldon Smith is planning to return with a vengeance upon being reinstated by the NFL in March.

Smith was suspended indefinitely in November 2015 for violating the league's substance abuse policy, but hasn't committed any offenses since.

The one-time All-Pro was triumphant Monday about his reinstatement and believes he'll return to top form upon taking the field again.

"I'm back," Smith said on Instagram Live, according to ESPN's Paul Gutierrez. "And there's nobody who can stop me."

"You already know it. Raider Nation, we got this s---."

Smith was once considered one of the NFL's premier defensive players, recording 33.5 sacks during his first two seasons, while starring for the San Francisco 49ers.

However, Smith's career stagnated due to multiple DUIs and substance abuse policies and he was released by the 49ers in August 2015. Smith racked up 28 tackles, 3.5 sacks, and three pass deflections in nine games during the 2015 season with the Raiders.

It remains to be seen whether Smith will replicate his form with the 49ers, but playing alongside reigning Defensive Player of the Year Khalil Mack may reinvigorate his career.
