Russell Wilson says Matt Ryan should win MVP

Brett Davis / USA TODAY Sports

Matt Ryan, Tom Brady, and Aaron Rodgers are the contenders for this year's MVP award. Russell Wilson played them all this year and can attest to seeing them at their best. The Seattle Seahawks quarterback picked one of the three star QBs as the one who should win the trophy at NFL Honors on Saturday.

"I think Matt Ryan, it's been his year," Wilson said on NFL Network on Tuesday, according to Jeremy Bergman of NFL.com.

"In my opinion, he's probably the MVP ... just because of the success that he's had on the football field and how he's overcome from the year before - he didn't have a great year before - and he was able to overcome those situations."

Ryan and the Atlanta Falcons topped the Seahawks in the divisional round of the playoffs. He went off for 338 passing yards and three touchdowns in the game.
