Falcons' Sanu declines to discuss travel ban

Donald Trump's travel ban was expected to be a topic of conversation at Super Bowl Opening Night, but Atlanta Falcons receiver Mohamed Sanu, who is Muslim, preferred not to mix politics with football.

Sanu recognized that the 90-day ban keeping citizens of seven Muslim-majority countries from travelling to the United States has affected him, but he respectively declined to discuss the matter, keeping the focus on his team and Sunday's game.

"Very tough situation," said Sanu, via ESPN's Dan Graziano. "It's really hard for me to talk about that right now. I'm not here to talk about my religious beliefs. I'm here to focus on football."

Trump and his policies are expected to be a major topic of conversation at Opening Night, especially among the New England Patriots.
