Cincinnati Bengals cornerback Adam Jones is changing his tone about his recent arrest, according to his lawyers.

Jones had initially claimed that his actions weren't enough to garner an arrest, stating "none of this makes sense" upon his release from custody.

After a video was released Monday showing Jones verbally abusing police officers and telling one he hoped he would die, the veteran cornerback's lawyers released a statement apologizing for his actions.

Jones was charged with misdemeanor charges of assault, disorderly conduct, and obstructing official business, as well as a felony count of harassment with a bodily substance in early January.

The Bengals also put out a statement Monday night regarding the video.

The 33-year-old cornerback has two years remaining on his contract, but with the heavy majority of his guaranteed money already earned, the team could cut him with little financial repercussions.
