Ravens' Weddle added to Pro Bowl

Evan Habeeb / USA TODAY Sports

Baltimore Ravens safety Eric Weddle was named an addition to the AFC's Pro Bowl team Monday.

Weddle replace New England Patriots safety Devin McCourty, who will not play in the game that falls a week ahead of the Super Bowl.

In his first year with the Ravens after signing as a free agent, Weddle compiled 89 tackles, four interceptions, one sack, and a forced fumble.

Also named to the Pro Bowl on Monday was Detroit Lions kicker Matt Prater.

He'll step in for Atlanta Falcons kicker Matt Bryant, who will also play in the Super Bowl.

The veteran of 10 seasons connected on six game-winning or game-tying field goals this season.
