Watch: Ripkowski coughs up fumble to kill promising Packers drive

Brett Davis / USA TODAY Sports

Just when the Packers offense appeared to have something going, a crucial mistake from rookie fullback Aaron Ripkowski promptly squashed any and all momentum.

Ripkowski had the ball ripped from his grasp after breaking through the middle on an early second-quarter run, and the Falcons defense jumped on it for a recovery near the goal line.

Jalen Collins rolling into the end zone appeared to put Atlanta at risk of a safety, but the officials ruled it was a matter of momentum, resulting in a touchback.

Already up 10, the possession gave Atlanta an opportunity to take complete control of the NFC title game.
