Between the playing of football at Super Bowl LI in Houston in February, Lady Gaga will sing some songs. She may also talk some politics.

After a source told Entertainment Tonight that the artist was told not to say anything about the election or president-elect Donald Trump, the league denied such allegations to The New York Times' Christopher D. Shea.

"This is unsourced nonsense from people trying to stir up controversy where there is none," Natalie Ravitz, a spokeswoman for the NFL, said in a statement. "Lady Gaga is focused on putting together an amazing show for fans and we love working with her on it; we aren't going to be distracted by this."

Lady Gaga, a known supporter of Hillary Clinton, has also reportedly expressed interest in performing on top of the roof at the big game.
