The Jacksonville Jaguars have hired Joe DeCamillis as special teams coordinator, the team announced Friday.

DeCamillis, who spent two seasons with the Jaguars in that role from 2007-08, returns to Jacksonville as part of head coach Doug Marrone's new staff.

The 51-year-old had led the Denver Broncos' special teams units since 2015, but became available when the departure of Gary Kubiak sent the club in search of a new coach.

DeCamillis' experience as an NFL special teams coordinator dates all the way back to 1993, with other stops including the Chicago Bears, Dallas Cowboys, Atlanta Falcons, and New York Giants.
