The New York Jets are scheduled to interview Denver Broncos assistant Eric Studesville for their offensive coordinator opening, a source told Mike Klis of 9News reports.

Studesville has served as the running backs coach in Denver for the past seven seasons, including a brief stint as interim head coach when Josh McDaniels was dismissed with four games to play in 2010.

Landing the offensive coordinator position in New York would mark the 49-year-old's first such experience at the NFL level.

The Jets are in search of a new direction on the offensive side of the ball after parting ways with Chan Gailey this offseason.
