A number of teams with vacancies are expected to bring aboard men with no head coaching experience. Just who are these mystery, leading men? Let theScore's NFL editors break it down for you.

Sean McVay

Position: Los Angeles Rams head coach
Age: 30
Hometown: Marietta, Ga.
Previous employment: Offensive coordinator of the Washington Redskins
Years coaching in NFL: 8
Previous teams: Tampa Bay Buccaneers, Redskins

Why he's the man for the job:

His handling of quarterbacks in his short time as an offensive coordinator.

In his first season as leader of the Redskins' offense in 2014, the team played Robert Griffin III, Kirk Cousins, and Colt McCoy at quarterback and the team still finished 13th in total offense and 11th in passing. The team finished 11th in passing again in 2015 and moved up to second in the league this year.

Under McVay's guidance, Cousins has developed from a backup in 2014 to perhaps a $100-million-plus man next year.

The Rams can only hope he'll have the same level of success with this year's No. 1 overall draft pick Jared Goff.

What he's also known for:

You may have heard, McVay is the youngest head coach in NFL history.

He also has ties to two notable football families: his own and the Grudens. McVay's grandfather, John, coached the New York Giants for three seasons in the 1970s. He then served as vice president and director of football operations for the San Francisco 49ers for 21 years, helping the team capture five Super Bowls in that time.

As for the Grudens, McVay has worked for both Jon and Jay. He served as Jon's assistant wide receivers coach with the Buccaneers in 2008 and has spent the past three seasons with Jay's Redskins.

What people are saying about him:

"The accomplishments and success that he has had in less than a decade in our league are impressive. We are confident in his vision to make this team a consistent winner and we will all continue to work together to achieve our ultimate goal - bringing a Rams Super Bowl championship home to Los Angeles." - Rams owner Stan Kroenke

"He's special." - Redskins head coach Jon Gruden

"He had the highest understanding of an offense of any position coach I've ever been around. We'd go back and forth in meetings on scheme, why and how. There was always an answer. I love that in a coach. ... Two years ago I said if anyone becomes a head coach on this staff it would be Sean McVay." - Former Redskins tight end Chris Cooley

"I think he's a great offensive mind, learned under Mike Shanahan. He's got a great football family background with his (grandfather) at (the) 49ers with Bill Walsh. He's energetic, smart, and a player's coach, overall good guy." - Former Redskins receiver Donte Stallworth
