Julio Jones plans to alert refs about any holding vs. Seahawks

Julio Jones still hasn't gotten over a missed holding call on Richard Sherman that precluded the Atlanta Falcons from beating the Seattle Seahawks in Week 6.

Now that Jones and the Falcons are getting their shot at redemption Saturday, he plans on doing everything he can to ensure officials don't miss another crucial call. He has no problem throwing up his hands and hunching his shoulders.

"When we're in a game, I'll go look at them like that and say, 'You didn't see it?,' if they didn't see it," Jones told ESPN's Vaughn McClure. "I'm not going to sit up there and cry about anything. It is what it is. But you've got to alert them.

"Some refs just let you play, too. It's like, 'All right, you're going to let us play? Then we're going to go out here and play. If you're going to call it, call it. Just let me know how you're going to officiate this game.'"

Jones says he'll hold off any discussion with officials until game time. He's not assuming Sherman or anyone else will break the rules, but if they do, the refs will be the first to know.

"If you grab me early, I'm going to let the ref know," Jones said. "And if they're not calling it, it's going to be a physical game."

Head coach Dan Quinn discussed the missed call from Week 6 with vice president of officiating Dean Blandino, but doesn't want to put the game in the officials' hands either way.

"We want to let our play be the judges," Quinn said. "And the attitude and toughness that we want to play with, that to me is the most critical thing. When you're hoping for a call or wanting something different, I think you lose your edge.

"So for us, it's going to be, 'Let's go attack.' How they call the game, we don't have control over. So let's control the things we can, which is our effort, our ability to try to break guys off. Those are the things that we want to totally establish."
