The New York Jets' season was an absolute disaster, and it ended in spectacular fashion. But you may not have heard too much about that, thanks to another attention-grabbing team in the Big Apple.

With the New York Giants receivers' Miami boat trip soaking up all of the city's headlines, the Jets got off scot-free in the media - a result receiver Brandon Marshall appreciated.

"I want to say thank you," Marshall joked on Showtime's "Inside the NFL" on Tuesday, according to James Parks of 247Sports.com. "Thank you to the New York Giants' wide receivers for taking all of the attention off of myself and my fellow Jets.

"I have a place in Miami. Whenever you guys are ready to come down, you can have it anytime. Victor Cruz, Odell Beckham Jr., you are guys are awesome. Thank you."

The boat trip has dominated sports talk in New York, especially after a Giants playoff loss that saw Beckham catch just four passes for 28 yards. The team's receivers were criticized for missing some key catches, and even Marshall couldn't help but criticize their performance.

"I don't mean to pile on, but the problem was the Giants' receivers," Marshall said. "When you're in these big moments, you cannot drop those balls. You have to come down with it. They didn't do it. They let their team down."
