Pep Hamilton is returning to the college ranks, as the Cleveland Browns offensive coordinator will leave the NFL to become Michigan's assistant head coach and passing game coordinator, a source told Adam Schefter of ESPN.

The move, which had been rumored for a couple of days now, reunites Hamilton with Jim Harbaugh, who he served under on the staff at Stanford from 2010-11.

Hamilton has spent the last four seasons in the NFL, first as the Indianapolis Colts offensive coordinator from 2013-15 before moving to the Browns for the 2016 campaign.

He certainly has his work cut out for him in coaching the Wolverines' passing attack, as that unit ranked 86th in the country during the 2016 campaign.
