Texans' Wilfork to contemplate retirement after playoff run

Logan Bowles / USA TODAY Sports

Veteran nose tackle Vince Wilfork may be gearing up to play in the final game of his career.

The Houston Texans host the Oakland Raiders on Wild Card Weekend, but on Tuesday, Wilfork told the Houston media he'll contemplate retirement after the season is done.

"It'll be a tough decision," Wilfork said, according to Aaron Wilson of the Houston Chronicle.

Wilfork is playing in the 13th season of his career. He spent the first 11 years with the New England Patriots and signed with the Texans in 2015. He's set to become an unrestricted free agent in the offseason, however.

The 35-year-old has also been met with some personal trials, as his son was arrested in late December after being found with 381 grams of codeine during a traffic stop.
