Vikings' Treadwell laments 1-catch rookie season

2016 was the year of the rookie in the NFL, as Ezekiel Elliott, Dak Prescott, Joey Bosa, and Carson Wentz led the way with productive seasons. But one first-round draft pick had a massively disappointing campaign.

Receiver Laquon Treadwell was believed to be NFL-ready coming out of college, yet finished his first year with the Minnesota Vikings with just one catch for 15 yards. Treadwell saw just 80 snaps for a team that was desperate for production at wideout.

"I don't think I helped the offense at all," Treadwell said to Chris Tomasson of the St. Paul Pioneer Press.

"I need to work on all my game, man. Every part of it."

Treadwell wasn't able to contribute - even at the end of a lost season - for the 8-8 Vikings. He sprained his ankle in Week 14 and didn't see the field again.

"I was feeling more comfortable, and they were ready to put me out there (before the injury). That's a tough break for me," he said.

Despite his disappointment, Treadwell displayed a positive attitude for next season.

"I just feel like next year, it will be a lot better for me," he said. "I'm just looking forward to it, and helping this team win ballgames."
