Jerry Jones: Romo showed he's still got it

Tony Romo played in his first meaningful football game since November of last year on Sunday, and in a backup role, he completed three passes, including one for a touchdown.

Romo, completely healed since breaking a bone in his back in the preseason, has insisted he's healthy enough to play and after his limited action, owner Jerry Jones said he still has the ability as well.

"The best example for everybody to see is, frankly, what happened out there today, with Romo stepping in there today and showing everybody that he still has exceptional ability and can move this team," Jones said, according to Jean-Jacques Taylor of ESPN.

However, Jones maintained that rookie quarterback Dak Prescott, the author of the Cowboys' 13-3 record this season, will continue to be the starter.

"(Romo) recognizes that the best way for this team to win is to take the roll that we're on with Dak and win with that," he said.
