Weddle has no regrets choosing Ravens in free agency

Eric Weddle was a prized free-agent target this past offseason, and with no shortage of suitors, the strong safety chose to make Baltimore his new home with an eye towards frequent trips to the postseason.

The Ravens were eliminated from this year's playoffs with Saturday night's loss to the Pittsburgh Steelers, but Weddle has no regrets about his decision.

"I would do it 100 times over again," Weddle said, writes Garrett Downing of the team's official website.

"Baltimore, it's been an amazing place and experience. It's opened my eyes a little bit just of other organizations. I'm proud to be a part of this team, proud to be part of this group of men that really challenged each other, never pointed the fingers, never turned our backs on each other. We always stood together. That's going to carry us in the future for sure."

Weddle has recorded 85 tackles, a sack, and four interceptions in his first year with the Ravens. He was selected as a second alternate for the Pro Bowl.
