Goff promises to fix Rams after humiliating loss to 49ers

The Los Angeles Rams look far from a team ready to compete in 2017, and their quarterback knows it.

After the Rams were beaten 22-21 by the San Francisco 49ers on Saturday, Jared Goff promised Rams fans he'll do whatever it takes to fix the team.

"To all the fans, and everybody who came out today - we're appreciative and understand where we are," Goff said, according to ESPN's Alden Gonzalez. "And we know they understand where we are. It's just hard. It's hard for all of them, it's hard for all of us. But I promise you guys it will get fixed. Everything in my heart and soul to get it all fixed."

While Los Angeles has problems all over the field, this team would be in a much better position moving forward if Goff looked the part of a franchise passer.

The No. 1 overall pick threw one touchdown and two interceptions against the 49ers and continued to struggle on deep passes. He went 11-of-24 for 90 yards, a putrid 3.75 yards-per-attempt average.
