Report: Texans' Miller uncertain to play vs. Bengals

Lamar Miller appears to be a game-time decision for Saturday's matchup with the Cincinnati Bengals.

The Houston Texans running back, who was officially listed as questionable after missing the entire week of practice with an ankle injury, is considered "iffy at best" to play, reports NFL Network's Ian Rapoport, citing sources.

With the AFC South likely coming down to next week's game against the Tennessee Titans, the coaching staff will presumably err on the side of caution to have their offensive centerpiece at full strength.

Miller is expected to be ready for that all-important regular-season finale, Rapoport adds.

The 25-year-old has taken his 268 carries for 1,073 rushing yards and five touchdowns in 14 starts since joining the Texans as a free agent from the Miami Dolphins.

Alfred Blue would step into the lead backfield role in the event Miller is held out.
