Denver Broncos wide receiver Emmanuel Sanders only caught three passes for 48 yards in Sunday's loss to the New England Patriots, but in his opinion, it had nothing to do with the play of cornerback Malcolm Butler.

While Butler appeared to get the better of Sanders for most of the contest, the receiver took to Twitter on Monday morning to argue that it was the Patriots' defensive scheme that limited him:

The Broncos have put up just 36 points over the past three games, and their struggles apparently led to a heated exchange between the team's offense and defense.
