Winston settles civil lawsuit with sexual assault accuser

Tampa Bay Buccaneers quarterback Jameis Winston reached a settlement in the civil lawsuit filed by a woman who accused him of rape in 2012 while he was a student at Florida State, TMZ reports.

Details of the settlement weren't revealed.

Winston was never charged, but the accuser filed the civil suit in April 2015.

"The case has been resolved to the satisfaction of the parties," the woman's attorney, John Clune, told ESPN's Mark Schlabach.

Winston's accuser won a $950,000 settlement from Florida State in January, after the university failed to properly investigate her Title IX complaint.
