Bills' McCoy: 'Rex is the guy for the job'

Questions about Rex Ryan's job status persist, but the Buffalo Bills' superstar player has come out in support of the head coach.

"As players, we support our coach ... If it was up to me, I want my coach here," running back LeSean McCoy said in his meeting with the media on Wednesday. "I think Rex is the guy for the job. That's above my pay grade."

Ryan is unquestionably a players' coach. Hired as the Bills' head coach in 2015, he's compiled a 14-15 record to this point. The Bills are 6-7 this season and remain within striking distance of the final playoff spot.

The team is hoping to end a playoff drought that stretches back to 2000.
