Seahawks' Carroll rules out any chance he'll coach Rams

The Los Angeles Rams reportedly have Seattle Seahawks head coach Pete Carroll on their coaching wish list, but Carroll says there's no chance it will happen.

Asked during a conference call ahead of Thursday's game between the Rams and his Seahawks if he would rule out making the jump, Carroll had a simple response: "Yes."

"I have no comment about that," was all Carroll would say about the report, according to Joe Curley of the Ventura County Star.

So there you go. It was never a realistic proposition anyhow, with Carroll under contract in Seattle through 2019 and the Seahawks having no reason to let him depart for a divisional rival, but it was a juicy rumor.

It was while it lasted, at least.
