Gurley: Rams 'looked like a middle school offense' in loss to Falcons

Los Angeles Rams running back Todd Gurley was fed up after his team lost its fourth consecutive game Sunday, getting routed 42-14 by the Atlanta Falcons.

Gurley rushed for 61 yards and a touchdown on 16 carries, adding three receptions for 22 yards in the losing effort, and afterwards spoke out about his team's lackluster performance.

"We looked like a middle school offense out there," Gurley told ESPN's Alden Gonzalez.

Gurley called out his teammates for a lackadaisical effort, as the Rams fell to 4-9.

"Man, we gotta play," Gurley said. "I don't care if we're out of the playoffs or not. I don't care. Just come up, show up, play. That's why we play this game. Show up, play."

Gurley's frustration was evident, as the second-year pro went on to suggest some teammates are merely trying to finish the season.

"We're just going through the motions. It looks like everybody's just playing to get through."

One of the NFL's brightest young talents, Gurley's sophomore slump has been among the more disappointing stories this season.
